So we've recently been looking at 3D printing, a process where 3D objects are made out of various materials and printed using a digial file.  Have a look at these!

What is 3D printing?

Well, it's not really traditional printing as a 3D printer generally uses plastic (not ink). But lots of other types of materials are being experimented with and it's now possible to produce things like houses and body parts!

Imagine a world where you can make anything you want, just by pressing "print". 3D printers have arrived and they promise a fascinating future, depending on what we make.

All about 3d Printing

At HMS Print Management we've been watching the latest in 3d printing and  wondering how best to explain the process. The best defination is that it's a manufacturing process rather than a traditional print process. Rather than lay down layers of ink as in offset or digital print, the 3d printer lays down materials like plastic, food, metals etc.

We can now 3d print food, clothing, organs, toys and practically any object you want.
